Differences In People

The citizens of the U.S. have the privilege of being divided. You never find two people who agree entirely, no matter what the question is. It is rare to find two people who agree on a subject without serious discussion on several points.

Looking back on history, it has never been really different. The political campaign fights even in the early 1800s seem just too familiar.

Yet we managed to build a nation which is the beacon of the free world, gradually move toward equal opportunity for all citizens, and become a superpower. So what exactly is it that we want to change? Should we all stand in line, pay our taxes, and keep our mouths shut, like they do in most other nations?

" Re-read the way you grilled Lolly. " Crest

Grilled? I asked her why her car was towed. You have never seen a KerryCork grilling. That has not been necessary since I retired from the Army.

It's in there, believe me. Words are my business.

It's a new day! :)

Lolly is a woman I respect, so you got my hackles up.

I'm Sicilian. I get it off my chest and move on.

Let's dance.

You might have not grilled, KC. But you sure jumped to a whole lot of conclusions without all the information at your disposal, then issued your moral edict.

I was asking about the missing information. The closest thing to an edict was I don't think anyone should celebrate a cop getting run down in a hit and run. But then, like I said in the original, there are differences in people.

" Officer with very hateful attitude explained my infraction then proceeded to have my vehicle (it was on private property) towed at 11:30pm. " Lollykoko
Let me guess. You were charged with DUI and the vehicle was towed to impoundment. KC

" Six weeks later during a routine traffic stop, he was hit by a speeding driver who fled the scene.
You are happy to see a cop hurt. You are a liberal, aren't you? KC

" He had a dramatic, showy and expensive stay in the hospital, in traction, to care for his broken leg. "
You even resent the attention an injured cop gets. You must be a radical. KC

By not telling the whole story, Lolly left the door open for questions. Obama is like that. KC

In the interests of completeness, I will paste my entire response from page 7.

*** I love it when Karma operates quickly enough that you can connect the dots.

A couple of years ago I was pulled over on my way to work (midnight shift) as I was pulling into the plant parking lot. Officer with very hateful attitude explained my infraction then proceeded to have my vehicle (it was on private property) towed at 11:30pm. There were other options available to him, but he chose the one creating the most show, drama and expense. Six weeks later during a routine traffic stop, he was hit by a speeding driver who fled the scene. He had a dramatic, showy and expensive stay in the hospital, in traction, to care for his broken leg. **

Thinking people will note that the officer got back exactly what he gave out. Kerry, I have better things to do with my time than play games with you. Stew in your own bile.

The cop didn't run you down and break your leg, so his injury was "exactly what he gave out". After reading several of your posts, I am starting to understand why the cop had "a very hateful attitude". An apprehended person with a smart mouth is about the only thing that makes cops angry. A thinking person can see through the one-sided account that you have given.

injury was NOT "Exactly what he gave out."

A thoughtless person fills in the blanks with his own prejudices and biases. A thinking person realizes that even when presented with all the facts from just one viewpoint s/he still doesn't have the complete picture.
